Welcome to the EMS Counselor's Page! I am happy to be starting my 18th year in public education. In my earlier days, I was an elementary teacher in Houston ISD and a special education teacher in Cy-Fair ISD. I moved to Elkhart ISD in 2004 as the Middle School Counselor. I earned a B.S. in Psychology from LSU-S in 1995 and an M. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston in 2000.
I work daily with students, teachers and administrators to make Elkhart Middle School a fun, safe place to learn. I also love helping parents learn to deal with the crazy beings called teenagers who have taken over their child's body! Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions, ideas or concerns.
