December Newsletter

 Mark your calendars.... Our annual Winter Concert will be December 11th at 7pm in the High School gym. While this is an exciting performance for all of our students, this will be our Beginning Band's FIRST performance, ever! We can't wait for parents, friends, and family to hear the music we have been making. 

Our 7th and 8th Grade Band students have been working in the last month, preparing for All Region Band Auditions. Auditions are coming up, Friday December 12 @ Groesbeck High School. The itinerary for this event can be found on our "Home" page. Good luck to all of our students who will be trying-out for Region!!

Believe it or not, it's also time to begin preparing for Solo and Ensemble Contest. All 7th and 8th Grade Band students will receive a solo to begin working on. This event is not required, but students are highly encouraged to participate. Registration for this event has to be completed by December 19th, although the event itself will be held in early February. The cost for registration is $10.

Coming up in January.....students who make All Region Band will have their clinic on January 16^th and 17^th at Midway High School. The concert will be on January 17^th.
