This is my 4th year at Elkhart Middle School and my 21st year teaching.  I am a member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2002.  Whoop!

I taught 7th Grade Texas history, 8th Grade American history, and 7th and 8th Grade AVID (a college prep elective),  at A&M Consolidated Middle School in College Station, Texas.  My husband was missing the Piney Woods of East Texas, so we moved to Elkhart in 2016.  I taught 6th grade ELA and Reading at Story Intermediate in Palestine for 4 years before coming to Elkhart Middle School.  

I feel so blessed to be a part of the Elkhart ISD family and to be be able to teach my favorite subject - Reading!  I am looking forward to getting to know you and getting this school year started.  It is going to be a great year!
